Firelands Regional Health System one of the largest hospitals in the city providing complete range of medical services and it also has a great history. Firelands Regional Health system is combination of three great hospitals which merged in the memorable year 2001. Good Samaritan hospital followed by the sisters of charity in 1876, founding providence hospital in 1902, Good Samaritan and Sandusky hospital merged and became Fireland community hospital.
Later Providence hospital and Firelands community hospitals merged and become the Firelands Regional medical center. Because of the merger it has now become the best medical services provider in the city it consist of more than 440 beds, about 200 physicians and approx 1800 employees.
